Association of Church Fellowships
ACF is a Christian Fellowship Organisation that has branches throughout the Diocese.
Thornton Hough ACF is an umbrella for four groups.
The first is the Association of Church Fellowships itself which is an informal group of people who meet on the second Wednesday each month at 2.15pm to enjoy each other’s company and listen to an interesting speaker.
The second is The Welcome In which opens its doors on the first Thursday of every month, at noon, when people are “Welcomed In” and can enjoy a three course lunch at reasonable prices.
The Chatterbox Club meets on the third Tuesday at 2.15pm. This is an opportunity for people to come along and play scrabble, board games, read a book or just chat and at the end of the afternoon enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake. We also run two or three coach outings each year, one always at Christmas time when we enjoy a slap–up three course lunch.
Last but not least, we have a Coffee Morning on the last Wednesday each month from 10.30am until noon when, for just 50p admission, copious amounts of coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed. There is always bring and buy, cards and cake stalls and a raffle.
All these events are organised and run by members of ACF and take place in the Parish Hall, Thornton Hough. You do not need to be a member to enjoy any or all of the above.
