Special Christmas Services 2017

Sunday 10 December

4:00pm Christingle Family Service

This is for children and families, and people of all ages.

Christingle features the lighting of Christingles, which are specially decorated oranges with a candle on top. (Christingles are provided)

  • The orange - represents the world.
  • The red ribbon - indicates the love of Jesus, who died for us.
  • The dried fruits and sweets - symbols of God's creation.
  • The lit candle - symbolises Jesus as the light of the world.

We sing some Carols and Christingle songs, and think about Christmas. There is a lovely candlelit moment that captures the special atmosphere of Christmas.

Monday 11 December

10:45am Crib Service

This is for young children with their parents, grandparents and carers.

We will sing a couple of seasonal songs, hear about a special birthday and make Christmas decorations.

Families from our own toddler group, Cots2Tots, will be there. The Reception Class from the local primary school will join us. We welcome any other families who would like to come!

Sunday 17 December

6:30pm Service of Nine Lessons and Carols

This is a traditional service with a variety of Carols and Choir pieces, interwoven with nine Christmas Bible readings. It has a very special atmosphere each year.

Featuring the All Saints' Church Choir.

A treat not to be missed!

Sunday 24 December

11:00pm Holy Communion Service

There is a wonderful atmosphere as we gather to mark the beginning of Christmas, with a communion service that ends just after midnight.

With Christmas hymns and carols.

Monday 25 December

 10:30am Service of Holy Communion

This is for all ages, with toys available for the younger children.

Let the turkey roast, and come and celebrate with us the birth of the infant Jesus!
