Families and Children

Children are an important part of our worshiping community and we aim to offer loving support to parents and their children of all ages.

Children's group on Sundays

Our children's group meeets during the 10:30am service on most Sunday mornings.

Children join the main service at the start with their parents for about 15 minutes before  moving into the choir vestry for their class.

Children can be left in the care of the leaders from when they are 2 years old.  If your child is under 2, they must have an adult with them.

During the school holiday periods children are still welcome and we have all-age services rather than the children's group.

cots2tots (baby and toddler group)

Mondays from 9:00am to 11:30am in the Parish Hall.

cots2tots is our parent and baby/toddler group. There is free play and a more structured element to the morning with a story, singing and craft. Good quality, healthy refreshments are provided for the children and freshly baked cakes for the adults.  Tea and coffee are served all morning.

We operate a membership system so parents know they can attend every week even if they can only come to part of the session. We charge a small weekly fee.

See the calendar for dates when cots2tots is running.

Young People

We have two groups:

  • Impact is for those in school Year 6 up to the age of 14
  • Abide is from ages 14 to 18.

NOTE: At present these groups are on hold.

Impact meets on Fridays from 5.45pm to 7.15pm in the Parish Hall. A meal is provided and we have Bible study and games.

Abide meets on Thursdays from 7:15pm to 8:30pm at the home of our Families Worker. It is an opportunity for the young people to learn from the Bible in more depth, along with refreshments and games, in a friendly environment.

Junior Choir

Children (and parents too if they wish!) are welcome to join the choir.  They should be able to read English and enjoy singing.  Training will be given, and a small amount is paid to children who participate. Junior choir practice is on a Friday from 7.00pm to 8.15pm.  For more information please  contact the Director of Music via the parish office - click here to email the parish office.
